Project Room Supervisors:
Maxine Rasmussen - Marketing Director
We are so grateful for our specially trained project room volunteers who help so much in providing the abundantly filled kits we give to our charities. They come in at least once a week, but many come in more frequently. One of our volunteers told us this was her happy place. They keep the project room clean, organize wherever needed, and create the most beautiful kits ever!
We offer a special thank you to the precious women who started donating hygiene kits to Homeless shelters in 2007. They were women who, despite limited financial means, found a way to give their full measure of the widow's mite in serving those in need and provided the inspiration for the heart of our business model of Heart Knits Together. As a nod toward these women, we put a hand-made hat in every kit.
Our Volunteer Donors
We are so thankful for the many volunteers who help Hearts Knit Together to accomplish so much good in the community. We have over 50 volunteers who offer additional help and service in a myriad of ways. 100% of the inventory for the kits is donated by our Volunteer Donors. There are also dozens of church groups, community groups, Eagle Scouts, disabled people, and others who donate their time and efforts to assist in helping us provide inventory we need to assist families in crisis.
